Monticello School District celebrates the power and value of education during American Education Week

Monticello School District is excited to recognize and celebrate the power and value of education in honor of the upcoming American Education Week (Nov. 12-16).

American Education Week, sponsored by the National Education Association, is designed to present all Americans with a wonderful opportunity to celebrate public education and honor individuals who are making a difference in ensuring that every child receives a quality education.

While ISD 882, along with the NEA, believes in celebrating our educators and the power of quality education, throughout the school year, we want to take this special opportunity to celebrate and highlight some of the amazing things that happen at each of our school buildings during the year.

Eastview Education Center

Eastview Education Center is the gateway to the Monticello School District, serving 600 students in a welcoming environment of both early learning and adult opportunities.  The EEC, as it’s affectionately known, is home to Magic Preschool, ECFE, Kindergarten, Connect-5 for students ages 18-21, and Community Ed. The school culture is one of care and cooperation, created by a talented staff, a supportive Parent Teacher Organization, and volunteer corps that work as a team to help students be successful socially, emotionally, and academically.  Positive, trusting relationships lay the foundation for the EEC to be a vibrant and thriving culture, and to live the school motto, “Foundations for the Future.”

Little Mountain Elementary

At Little Mountain, we will continue to provide a learning environment where every student feels safe and is motivated to achieve his or her absolute best.  The entire staff at LME is committed to building long-lasting, positive relationships with our students, families, and the community. We understand our students reach their full potential when they are supported both academically and emotionally.  The school district mission of “Every Kid, Every Day” is something we live each day. With our community, district, PTO, and family connections, we believe in our ability to provide a successful learning environment for ALL of our 640 students in grades 1-5.

Pinewood Elementary

At Pinewood Elementary our mission is to create a positive and respectful environment while
empowering all 900 of our students to become lifelong learners. We aim to inspire, empower, and encourage “Every Kid, Every Day.” PWE focuses on core curricular areas but also on encore classes, including art, technology, media, and music. PWE also teaches the value and importance of strong character through the PWE Panther Pride Behavior Program which teaches respect, ownership, a positive attitude, and responsibility.
