School Board

Welcome to the Monticello School Board page! The school board meets in the Monticello Middle School Board Room, 302 Washington Street, Monticello, MN, 55362. Regular School Board meetings are held at 5 p.m. on the first Monday of the month and 6 p.m. on the third Monday of the month. The regular meeting on the first Monday of the month is typically followed by a Board Work Session. 

Policy Subcommittee meetings are held at 3:00 p.m. on the first Monday of the month. Budget Subcommittee Meetings are held on the third Monday of the month following the regular board meeting.

Exceptions to these dates may be made for holiday weeks. All changes will be posted here and on the district's home page. In the event that a work session or regular school board meeting is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances (like weather), the meeting will be rescheduled for the following day at the same time.

At the regular school board meeting on May 20, 2024, there was a special student recognition portion. Among those recognized were high school students from the following: ExCEL MSHSL, Boys & Girls State, Students of Excellence, AAA-MSHSL, Valedictorians (19 total students for the Class of 2024), Junior Honor Guard, students who are enlisted in the military, and school board student representatives.
