Kindness in Action at Pinewood!
Earlier this week, Pinewood Elementary 4th graders participated in the 2025 Kindness Retreat, hosted by Youth Frontiers and an incredible group of Monticello High School junior and senior volunteers!
The retreat kicked off with high energy as students ran through a tunnel of cheering high schoolers, followed by nonstop high fives, exciting games, and powerful small group discussions led by their older peers.
Some powerful words from the day:
✨ “By working together, you have the power to change the atmosphere.”
✨ “Through the power of people, we can all be kind.”
✨ “If you throw kindness out into the world, it will come back to you.”
Youth Frontiers’ mission is to provide experiences that inspire character, civility and community. Through retreats focused on timeless values like kindness, courage, and respect, they help students build stronger communities and treat each other - and themselves -better.
Pinewood fourth graders left the retreat with full hearts, bright smiles, and a deeper understanding of the power of kindness.
