1:1 Chromebook Information

In the Monticello School District, we use technology as a springboard for learning. All high school students in 9th through 12th grade are issued a Chromebook for educational purposes as part of our 1:1 initiative and bring their device home daily. The program leverages digital curriculum materials, cloud-based collaboration tools, and individualized instruction in all subject areas with the goal of augmenting student learning. Information for students and parents involved in the program may be found below. The Monticello School District maintains robust wireless networks to fully support the Chromebook program.

Background
The changing landscape of global information requires today's students and tomorrow's leaders to possess a distinct set of skills for post-secondary success. Future graduates must be equipped not only with foundational academics, but also with 21st-century competencies including complex problem-solving, critical thinking, digital communication, and advanced technological literacy. Students must be able to efficiently find, synthesize, and evaluate information while collaborating with peers—mirroring the expectations of modern higher education and global careers.
