Good Evening Middle School Families
Today marks the midpoint of our 1st quarter. All grade books have been updated. Please take the time to access the Parent Portal and check your child’s progress for the first quarter.
Before you check mid-term status please consider the current circumstances:
These grades are not permanent. They are simply an indicator of how your child is doing so far this school year. We have about 4 weeks left until the end of the quarter. Please contact your child’s teacher if you have concerns about your child's progress.
However...This is not the situation we had last spring during “Crisis Learning”. Students are being assessed and graded and should be doing school 5 days a week!
This is not a typical start to the school year. We recognize it has been a challenge in this hybrid /distance learning environment for both families and teachers. I have asked MMS staff to be patient with families during this time. I am asking for patience from parents. Teachers do their best to cover standards, assess students while providing dynamic instruction. We know it is important all students show progress and are prepared for the next level.
All students will be scheduled with their M&M advisor for Fall conferences in November. You will be receiving an email to schedule a fall conference through the My conference time app.
I can’t say enough about how everyone is working together to get through this. Great things are happening every day at MMS thanks to dedicated teachers, compassionate staff, eager students, and supportive families. As the day to day challenges come, we promise to keep moving forward and getting better every day.
Stay safe, stay healthy, and stay connected.

Dear Middle School Families:
It is Friday September 11th. It is hard to believe it was 19 years ago today we experienced the tragedies of New York, Pennsylvania and Washington DC. Different events in our country bring about different challenges. Never Forget.
Today we wrapped up the first week of the school year. Overall we heard positive reviews about open house and the kick off of our hybrid and distance-learning school year.
We will continue to push out any new information in our middle school newsletter. Most recently we shared information regarding the pick up or drop off of school materials. If you’re not getting this information please contact the middle school office 763-272-2100.
This next week we will have our first full week of the school year. Cohort A will be meeting Monday and Wednesday. Cohort B will be meeting Tuesday and Thursday. Friday will be a distance learning day for all learners regardless of your instructional cohort.
