Wright County's Project Pencils
Families that have financial difficulty purchasing school supplies for their K-12 students can complete the request form (available on June 1) on Project Pencils website at http://www.ProjectPencils.com/request.html and they will post a request in their closed Facebook group for volunteers to "adopt" the student. The only info they share with volunteers to help them purchase the correct supplies and a backpack for each student is the student's school, teacher (if necessary for specific lists), grade, sex, and favorite colors (optional).
You can pick up the backpacks at Hollee's home in St. Michael (they will send the address to anyone who completes the form) on the following dates:
Saturday, August 20 from 8 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Tuesday, August 23 from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.
