Summer Construction Updates in Monticello and Wright County

As summer construction season begins, Monticello Public Schools encourages families to be aware of road projects that may affect travel throughout the community. Please allow extra travel time and use caution in construction zones when heading to summer activities, childcare, athletic events, and other destinations.

Wright County's 2026 Pavement Preservation Program is underway and includes work on several county roads, with Highway 39 in Monticello currently scheduled for July. Drivers should expect temporary lane closures and minor delays throughout the summer.

The City of Monticello also has several transportation, utility, trail, and roadway improvement projects planned. Families are encouraged to review project updates and plan ahead when traveling.

Thank you for helping keep our roads safe by slowing down, staying alert, and watching for workers and changing traffic patterns this summer.
